Once upon a time, there was a man named Peter.

Peter was quite a character—bold, brash, and full of himself. He thought he was a little bit better than the other friends of Jesus.

After all, he was one of the special ones, one of Jesus' closest friends.

Peter was pretty sure he loved Jesus more than anyone else.

"No matter what," Peter would say, "I'll never let Jesus down."
