Since the very beginning, people have often chosen their own paths over the one God laid out for them. 

This, the Bible tells us, is called sin—deciding to do things our way instead of following God's way. 

This hurts God deeply, because it means we don't care about God.

And it’s this sin that broke apart our friendship with God.
