Judas began to wonder if following Jesus was going to give him what he wanted out of life. Maybe he started to think about what he could get for himself now, feeling like it was time to collect on all the time and hope he'd poured into following Jesus.

Whatever hope he had placed into Jesus turned into “what’s in it for me.”
